”When you all agreed to this, Carlos laid out the situation: the old Sakkadian government was replaced in a swift and bloodless coup, the new government are isolationist ‘nationalists’, and every corporation that isn’t Sakkadian has been informed they need to pack their crap and get out. The intergalactic response to the coup was mostly a big fat ‘meh’ dotted with occasional tsk-ing for effect. Keelta Resources, who pay Carlos, think they have basically a handful more days to get anything of value and leave behind everything that is not. Six other resource corporations had been hiring all the other warm bodies on Prestyd Trade Port to get stuff out of Sakkadian space.

That is where your warm bodies come into the equation and ended up in a light freighter making its way to a mine complex.”

Project 39 is a Quick Start Pack for the pulpy space fantasy/cyberpunky game Beta Maxx X. Inside you’ll find:

  • a redux of the rules (the first half of the book)
  • a complete module that should take a team of heroes and their GM approximately 4 hours from opening the book to finishing the module.
  • a set of pull outs in the center of the book featuring pregenerated characters and a map of the Project 39 facility

Beta Maxx X uses a simple d10 dice pool system and minimal calculations in a light system meant to drop you more into the action, but still have that box of dice experience.
